Mountain Springs Water Supply is a non-profit corporation formed in 1972 to serve rural members in eastern Cooke County and northern Denton County. The operations of the corporation are under the direction of a five-member Board of Directors. The members of the corporation elect each director to a three-year term. An annual meeting is held the first Thursday of April at 7:00 p.m. Monthly Board of Directors meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm at the office located at 7131 E FM 922 Valley View, TX.
Mountain Springs Water Supply currently has three part-time employees serving approximately 1230 water connections. The company has four water wells, which provide all of the water to the system. The company has roughly 170 miles of water mains stretching from just east of Valley View to just west of Collinsville and from just southeast of Gainesville to just north of Lake Ray Roberts.
