Customer Service/Accounts Receivable Office Position

Looking for a responsible, self-motivated part time front desk customer service/accounts receivable assistant for our water company. The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to organize their work using QuickBooks, MS Office and general office equipment.
Work hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. for monthly Board Meetings.
Essential Job Functions:
- Answering phone and assisting customers in the office
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries and complaints
- Keep customer billing accounts accurate and current
- Monthly billing of water usage to customers
- Assist in preparation of regularly scheduled reports and month-end closing
- Bookkeeping and data entry using QuickBooks
- Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications
Payment Process and Account Reconciliation:
- Accurately apply customer payments into water billing software
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies
- Post deposits/journal entries into QuickBooks
- Knowledge of debits, credits and account reconciliation
